1957 Painting by Tony (Anthony) Da ( 1940-2008)This is a very early watercolor by the esteemed San Ildefonso artist Tony Da. He was 17 years old and still in high school when he painted this artful abstract figure of a bird on a sheet of watercolor paper. It is signed in the lower right "By Anthony Da '57". This is the original frame that the painting was in. Unfortunately, the mat was not acid free and "burned" the paper as can be seen in one of the photographs. We replaced this mat with an acid
